About the Orchestra
Bringing Classical Music to the Community
The Ithaca Community Orchestra was founded in 2001 by a group of local musicians who wanted to play classical music together and perform in the community.
Now with a membership of 60 musicians, the orchestra presents two major concerts a year that focus on the classical orchestral repertoire. We also perform at senior residential communities in Ithaca and at local festivals and events.

The orchestra rehearses on Wednesday nights at the First Congregational Church in Cayuga Heights and welcomes new members. If you are interested in joining the orchestra, please contact us and tell us about yourself and your experience with your instrument.

You can view a history of our past concerts here.
Orchestra Management
The Ithaca Community Orchestra is managed by a board of directors who are members of the orchestra as well as supporters who are members of the community.
