Arturo Márquez (born 1950) is a Mexican composer of orchestral music whose music is infused with the musical styles of his native Mexico. The Danzón No. 2, his best known work, became so popular that it has been dubbed Mexico's second national anthem.

Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958), was an English composer who is among the best-known British symphonists. The Lark Ascending (1904) is one of his most familiar works and was inspired by the 1881 poem of the same name by the English writer George Meredith.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) was a Russian composer who wrote some of the most well-known music in the classical repertoire. The Orchestral Suite No. 4 "Mozartiana" was written in 1887 as a tribute to Mozart on the 100th anniversary of the opera Don Giovanni.

Paul Hindemith (1895-1963) was a German and American composer, violist and conductor. His most popular work,  the Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber (1943), is based on melodies from various works by von Weber.
