Joseph
Rosenblum, violinist, was going to celebrate his 100th birthday in
August 2012, and we had planned an early surprise party for him at the
reception following this concert. Joe died on April 20, 2012, and so we
will not be able to celebrate with him. Two years ago, his good friend
Margaret Perry interviewed Joe and drafted an essay about his life. She
has shared that with us, and we would like to share it with you. We
take comfort in knowing that Joe was doing the things he loved to do,
including playing his violin, right up until his death. Read the interview.
